Total System Quality

High quality cameras bring significant advantages to users, and when integrated into an i-Pro Network Surveillance System, can rise to the challenge of a demanding surveillance application. The i-Pro Network Surveillance System offers a number of system-enhancing features to further enhance efficiency and reliability.

H.264

Superior image quality, coupled with high compression. H.264 allows information to be recorded to an extremely high quality, whilst requiring significantly less space. H.264 is up to 40% better compared to MPEG recording.

MPEG-4

With smaller data volume, MPEG-4 allows the use of more cameras than JPEG within limited network capacity, making network operation more efficient and reducing the need for additional network equipment.

Real Time Monitoring

The i-Pro network cameras can transmit 30 images/second real time video at up to VGA (640 x 480) image size in both JPEG and MPEG-4 mode. They can also simultaneously transmit high frame rate MPEG-4 and high quality JPEG images, making real time monitoring possible while recording high-resolution images.

SD Memory Backup

Network problems can be an issue with all IP network systems. This is why the i-Pro network cameras are equipped with an SD Memory Card slot, so that when the network experiences a problem, during the data transfer to a FTP server or an i-Pro network recorder, images can automatically be backed up. This prevents image loss and makes it possible to playback and check images captured while the network is down.

PoE (Power over Ethernet)

With IEEE802.3af PoE (Power over Ethernet), both power and image data can be transmitted through a single Ethernet cable. By eliminating the need for power cables and supplies when installing cameras or changing layouts, installation and maintenance costs are reduced.

  • Applicable models: WV-NP240 Series, WV-NS202A, WV-NF284, WV-NW484S, WV-NF302, WV-NP304

Easy IP Set-up

When the i-Pro network cameras are connected to the i-Pro Network Disk Recorders, their IP addresses can easily be obtained through the Easy IP Set-up features. By reducing the time and labor required for network set-up, Easy IP Set-up lowers installation and maintenance costs.

Flexible Alarm Handling

Various alarm sources including Terminal input, VMD and Panasonic alarm command can trigger actions including SD memory recording, FTP image transfer, E-mail notification, Indication on browser, Alarm terminal output and Panasonic protocol output. The image compression ratio can also be changed in response to an alarm, so that higher quality image can be provided as necessary *.With these features, flexible alarm handling can be designed according to the application requirement.

Multi Channel Decoding

The WJ-GXD400 Multi Channel High Definition Video Decoder can decode 1x XGA (1,280 x 960) image with 2x VGA images or 6x VGA images simultaneously so that it can take full advantage of a 1,920 x 1,080 high definition display depending on the requirements of the application.

User Friendly GUI

User friendly GUI allows instinctive operation, reducing the burden on operators.

Hot Plug Support

The WJ-ND400 is equipped with 9 Serial ATA HDD slots and the WJ-ND200 is equipped with two Serial ATA HDD slots, so that a disk can be removed without stopping the recording.

VMD (Video Motion Detection)

VMD can detect motion in specified area and trigger the i-Pro’s flexible alarm actions.

Video Analytic

Smart intelligence is also a key for the i-Pro Network Surveillance System. The WJ-NT314 is equipped with a real time Video Analytic feature including 8 detection programs, each with three intruder detection areas and one object abandonment/removal detection area. Up to 8 detected objects can be traced in the intruder detection mode. Depth correction allows more accurate detection when the scene includes deeper depth.

Scene Change Detection

Scene change detection can detect interference and sends an alarm signal when the camera’s operation has been hampered with, such as a manual change in the camera’s angle, removal of the camera lens, defocus, blockage of the camera lens with cloth or paint.

Applicable models: WV-NP1000 Series, WV-NW484S

Bi-directional Audio

Full duplex bi-directional audio allows interactive communication between camera site and monitoring site.

Embedded OS

In contrast with PC-based networked recorders that use a conventional OS, Panasonic recorders use an Embedded OS that takes full advantage of Panasonic's many years of surveillance know-how, ensuring long-term 24/7 surveillance under even the harshest conditions.

Raid Redunancy

The WJ-ND400 is equipped with RAID5/6 capability. So even if one or two HDDs are damaged, recorded images can still be recovered. The WJ-ND300A can be given RAID5 capability by adding an optional RAID5 Board WJ-NDB301. The WJ-ND200 is equipped with RAID1 mirroring function.
